After years of working in riding schools, I started to work with horses one on one. I specialized in observing horses and solving problems. Because when you know how to read a horse’s body, you can find the reason AND the solution to problems. And I can teach you to do the same for your horse.
This course is a complete guide to learn what your horse needs, how you can listen to him and help him improve physically and mentally. To help your horse be as happy as he makes you.

In more than one hundred videolessons I teach you everything I know. The first module is mostly theoretical and will teach you all about your horse’s needs. In the next three modules, I tell you about many different exercises to do with your horse. And in the last module I focus on problem solving. I cover twenty common problems you might have with your horse and teach you why you might be having that problem and how to solve it.

If you truly want to understand your horse, listen to him and build a real connection, I believe you need to know about more than just how to train a horse. The course has a specific order that will help you look at the basic needs horses have first. Then you’ll learn how horses learn and the choices you have in how you train them. After that, we’ll cover the basics of groundwork, then the more advanced exercises and we finish with problem solving.

To listen to the horse. For example: I don’t punish my horse for rearing during a training (actually happens in one of the lessons), but I try to understand what my horse is trying to tell me through that behavior. When horses start showing dangerous behavior, they feel like they have to because no one has listened to them when they spoke up softly. I help you recognize what your horse is trying to tell you and what he needs from you long before he feels the need to shout it to you (by biting, bucking, kicking, etc.)
I have lessons where I only use positive reinforcement and lessons where I combine positive with negative reinforcement. I use clickertraining and use a light form of pressure and release as well. I respect everyones decision between these forms of working with horses.
The lessons are ready and waiting for you to watch in your own pace. In addition to the lessons, I will offer live Q&A’s every now and then. You can choose to join them live, but I won’t offer replays.
Yes! The entire first module is theoretical. But in the rest of the course there’s also lots to learn about understanding a horse and their bodylanguage and stress signals. You can also learn a lot about training to prepare yourself for your lucky future horse.
Absolutely! There’s loads of trainings you will learn that aren’t very challenging physically. There is so much you can do with your old horse in walk, with your injured horse to challenge him mentally or with your young horse to learn him to use his body correctly. They will love the attention and activities you do with them.
No. You can use the tack that you and your horse prefer or even work completely in liberty. In most of the videolessons you can see me working with a simple halter, a leadrope and a driving whip. I love using poles and cones, but I won’t force you to do everything the exact same way I do. Because it’s all about listening to your horse and he might need very different things.
